The complete plastid genome and nuclear ribosomal transcription unit sequences of <i>Spiraea prunifolia</i> f. <i>simpliciflora</i> (Rosaceae)

<i>Spiraea prunifolia</i> f. <i>simpliciflora</i> Nakai is a perennial shrub widely used for horticultural and medicinal purposes. We simultaneously obtained the complete plastid genome (plastome) nuclear ribosomal gene transcription units, 45S DNA (nrDNA) 5S nrDNA of <i>S. <i>simpliciflora</i>, using Illumina short-read data. The plastome 155,984 bp in length with canonical quadripartite structure consisting 84,417 large single-copy region, 18,887 short 26,340 two inverted repeat regions. Overall, total 113 genes (79 protein-coding genes, 30 tRNAs, four rRNAs) were annotated plastome. unit 5,848 length: 1,809 bp, 161 3,397 18S, 5.8S, 26S, respectively, 261 220 internal transcribed spacer (ITS) 1 ITS 2 regions, respectively. 512 including 121 rRNA 391 intergenic Phylogenetic analyses showed that genus <i>Spiraea</i> was monophyletic sister to clade <i>Sibiraea angustata</i>, <i>Petrophytum caespitosum</i> <i>Kelseya uniflora</i>. Within <i>Spiraea</i>, sections <i>Calospira</i> monophyletic, but sect. <i>Glomerati</i> nested within <i>Chamaedryon</i>. In <i>Glomerati</i>, formed subclade media</i>, thunbergii</i> mongolica</i>. close relationship between media</i> also supported by phylogeny, indicating sequences assembled this study belong <i>Spiraea</i>. newly reported provide useful information further phylogenetic evolutionary studies as well family Rosaceae.
